The final price of a custom-sized SOFIA dress form depends on two factors:
1. Torso Price: this is calculated individually for each project and typically ranges from $680 to $880 USD. Options 1-9 in the listing drop-down menu correspond to complexity of the customization project.
2. Stand Price: MARIAM dress form can be purchased without a stand, with a wooden platform, or with an iron stand with wheels (ranges from $0 to $200 USD).

ABOUT SOFIA:
Our collection’s crown jewel. The most universal dress form – good for working with any type of garment. Trousers, jeans, shorts, jumpsuits, bodysuits, lingerie, and swimwear — all of these things will be easy to create because Sofia has legs.
The cover is made of cotton; it is very durable and low maintenance. Plus, the seams on the cover double as reference construction lines — a beneficial feature for anyone who is draping patterns on the dress form.
Another great thing about Sofia is that you can steam and iron clothes right on it without any restrictions. Pressing garments on the form rather than on a flat surface can level up your sewing and make the results look much more professional.
The mannequin is made from soft polymer material (polyurethane), with no hard frame/core inside. It is 100% pinnable (pins can go inside for their whole length). It is heat and water resistant (iron and steam right on it) and has compressible shoulders (put a fitted garment on the dress form easily). Additional accessories (stand, arms, head) available.
KEY FEATURES:
✔ 100% COTTON COVER WITH PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION LINES – cover is made from pure cotton fabric in natural color. It can be easily removed (for dry cleaning purposes or replacement for example) and then put back on the mannequin. The cover has professional tailor construction lines and it’s extremely durable.
✔ POLYURETHANE CORE – dress form is made entirely of polyurethane. This makes it ideal for pattern making, draping an pinning technique. Polyurethane is a safe modern poly material also used to produce children’s toys, mattresses, sleeping cushions, etc.
✔ COMPRESSIBLE – the dress form torso is made entirely of soft foam, so you can compress it’s shoulders manually (as demonstrated in listing photo gallery) to put a fitted garment on and narrow it’s waist while trying a laced corset. Compressed and released shoulders do not stay put – they gain original shape naturally.
✔ MULTIPURPOSE – this sewing torso can also be used to display clothes and take photos of your designs’ fabulous fit.
✔ ANATOMIC – our dress forms are accurately shaped and proportioned according to physical characteristics derived from relevant modern consumer data.
✔ DURABLE – you can steam and iron right on the dress form. All materials tolerate high temperature and water perfectly.

ABOUT THE DRESS FORM STAND:
For Mariam we offer 2 kinds of stands: wooden and metal.
METAL STAND has a steady, heavy (about 8 kg / 18 lbs) iron cast base. It has wheels with stoppers and rotation retainer included. The pedal is used as a temporary foot brake that keeps the dress form still while you’re working on it. The height of the dress form is adjusted manually by extending or shortening the telescopic stand pole. Metal stand is available in 2 colors: BRIGHT GOLD and MATTE BLACK
WOODEN STAND is a perfect combination of minimalism, functionality and style. It has a steady platform base made of natural (polished and varnished) wood. Like our metal base, it also comes with rotation retainer included. The height of the dress form is adjusted manually by repositioning of rotation retainer on the stand pole. Available in one color.
