Mariam is the newest addition to One Forms’ range of soft dress forms.
Mariam is by far the most practical and beautiful dress form we created. It has realistic shape and proportions of our best selling Sofia dress form complemented with a brand new cover made from top quality thick smooth cotton. This cover is extremely durable and low maintenance. It has reference lines doubled in thick contrasting thread. These reference construction lines make working with the form so much easier. They are especially useful for drafting patterns. Cover fabriс is dyed in beautiful Beige color.
Mariam’s anatomic shape and the fact that she has legs make her perfect for working on any type of garment. From lingerie to outerwear — Mariam will be of great help for constructing, draping patterns, making adjustments, fitting, and adding decor. Mariam is heat- and water-resistant which means you can iron and steam garments right on the dress form. This is one of the features that can elevate your sewing to the next level. Pressing seams on the form rather than on a flat surface ensures top notch results.

KEY FEATURES:
✔ 100% COTTON COVER WITH PROFESSIONAL CONSTRUCTION LINES – cover is made from pure cotton fabric in natural color. It can be easily removed (for dry cleaning purposes or replacement for example) and then put back on the mannequin. The cover has guide lines marked with color thread and it’s extremely durable.
✔ POLYURETHANE CORE – dress form is made entirely of polyurethane. This makes it ideal for pattern making, draping an pinning technique. Polyurethane is a safe modern poly material also used to produce children’s toys, mattresses, sleeping cushions, etc.
✔ COMPRESSIBLE – the dress form torso is made entirely of soft foam, so you can compress it’s shoulders manually (as demonstrated in listing photo gallery) to put a fitted garment on and narrow it’s waist while trying a laced corset. ABOUT THE DRESS FORM STAND:
For Mariam we offer 2 kinds of stands: wooden and metal.
METAL STAND has a steady, heavy (about 8 kg / 18 lbs) iron cast base. It has wheels with stoppers and rotation retainer included. The pedal is used as a temporary foot brake that keeps the dress form still while you’re working on it. The height of the dress form is adjusted manually by extending or shortening the telescopic stand pole. Metal stand is available in 2 colors: BRIGHT GOLD and MATTE BLACK
WOODEN STAND is a perfect combination of minimalism, functionality and style. It has a steady platform base made of natural (polished and varnished) wood. Like our metal base, it also comes with rotation retainer included. The height of the dress form is adjusted manually by repositioning of rotation retainer on the stand pole. Available in one color.
